There’s nothing quite like Christmas baking and cooking for me. It’s the anticipation of fruit that’s been marinating away for weeks about to be turned into a table centrepiece, and the joy a decadently adorned Gingerbread House can bring to the face of kids as they can’t wait to demolish it and tuck in. The aromas of Christmas spices evoke all sorts of memories and can take me back to a time less complicated, and all about the love of family and friends. Food has a way of bringing people together and I think that’s one of the reasons I keep doing my Christmas list every year. I will never get enough of being able to bring a smile to faces with my creations, and so as the festive season of 2016 looms large, these will be my offerings for this year.
